About us
Our mission
Associazione Pro Loco di Preore APS promotes the tourist, cultural and social development of Preore and the municipality of Tre Ville through voluntary work and on a non-profit basis, championing local traditions and local produce and protecting the community's environmental and historical heritage.
We do it in the simplest way we know: by putting on the village festivals. Every sagra, every evening at Parco al Poz is an excuse to spend time together, to show Preore to people arriving from elsewhere and to keep alive the traditions handed down to us by those who came before — without anyone making a penny out of it.
What we do
As set out in our statute, the association pursues its aims through five areas of activity of general interest:
- safeguarding and improving the condition of the environment;
- protecting and promoting cultural heritage and the landscape;
- organising and running cultural, artistic and recreational activities;
- organising and running tourism activities of social, cultural or religious interest;
- organising and running amateur sports activities.
In practice this means the Sagra di Santa Maria Maddalena (the feast of Saint Mary Magdalene), POZFEST and the POZ Party evenings at Parco al Poz — you will find the dates on the Events page.
How we are organised
The Pro Loco is governed by the members’ assembly and by a board of directors of up to 8 members, elected for a four-year term. Once the thresholds set by Italian law are exceeded, a supervisory body and an audit body are appointed alongside them. Every office in the association is elected and unpaid: nobody is paid for the role they hold, beyond reimbursement of documented out-of-pocket expenses.
The association carries out its work mainly through the voluntary efforts of its members: the people working at our festivals do it for the community, not for a living.
You can read the full statute and the complete institutional details on the Statute and Transparency pages.
Becoming a member
Membership is open to anyone who shares our aims, with no restrictions based on financial means. All it takes is a written application to the board of directors, which decides within 90 days of the request.
